Faiza Haq joined the GNYHA Foundation in 2017. Ms. Haq works on the New York–Reducing Avoidable Hospitalizations (NY–RAH) Project, a four-year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to reduce avoidable hospitalizations of long-stay nursing facility residents. As Project Manager for Payment Reform, Ms. Haq is responsible for providing education to facilities and practitioners involved in the project, and to assist in increasing engagement and participation overall. Ms. Haq earned her BS from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and is currently working towards a Masters in Healthcare Administration at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health.
