Carla Nelson joined GNYHA’s Department of Government Affairs, Communications, and Public Policy in 2013. She is responsible for assisting in various ambulatory care and population health initiatives, with a particular focus on delivery system reform, ambulatory care transformation, and social determinants of health. Before joining GNYHA, Ms. Nelson worked in ambulatory care at The Mount Sinai Hospital. She earned a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Law at Binghamton University, and an MBA from Binghamton University’s School of Management.
