New York State Extends Telehealth Services

June 16, 2020

The New York State Department of Financial Services (DFS) has extended emergency regulations issued in March requiring insurers to waive cost-sharing for COVID-19 testing and for all telehealth services during the current emergency.

Originally set to end last week, these cost-sharing waivers have now been extended until at least September 9, 2020. DFS guidance reflecting the extended dates can be found here.

GNYHA appreciates DFS’s actions to facilitate improved access to these important services.
