A nightly curfew will be in effect tonight through Sunday night (June 7). The curfew will begin at 8:00 p.m. each evening and end at 5:00 a.m. When the curfew begins at 8:00 p.m. tonight, there will be no vehicular traffic allowed south of 96th Street in Manhattan. This excludes residents, essential workers, busses, and truck deliveries. Transit services and for-hire vehicles will be operating normally. Commuters should allow for extra travel time and remain flexible as routes may need to change to avoid impacted streets.
Hospital staff who must travel during these hours should be instructed to carry hospital identification and to identify themselves as essential personnel if stopped. If hospital staff experience issues while traveling to or from work, they can contact New York City Emergency Management’s Watch Command at 718-422-8700. Staff are also encouraged to sign up at Notify NYC for updates regarding protest activity.
