The City Council will hold two hearings of interest to GNYHA members next week:
- The Committee on Hospitals will hold an oversight hearing on the “Safety of New York City Emergency Departments” on February 24 at 10:00 a.m. GNYHA will provide in-person testimony and distribute it to our members on the morning of the hearing. - The Committee on Hospitals and the Committee on Immigration will hold a joint oversight hearing on “ICE’s Escalated Attacks on NYC Policies Protecting Immigrants” on February 28 at 10:00 a.m. GNYHA is seeking more specifics on the hearing. The hearing’s agenda is available here.
Council Member Carlina Rivera (D-Manhattan) chairs the Committee on Hospitals and Council Member Carlos Menchaca (D-Brooklyn) chairs the Committee on Immigration.
