St. John’s Riverside Hospital, a community hospital and member of Riverside Health in Yonkers, NY, is completing its first year as a new teaching hospital. After completing a rigorous application process with the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education, the hospital welcomed eight categorical and six preliminary Internal Medicine interns at the start of the academic year in July 2016. St. John’s Riverside Hospital will also begin a residency in Emergency Medicine in July 2017. As a new teaching hospital, St. John’s is making important contributions to New York State’s physician workforce.
